  1. JR reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world. He want to show creative and life through digital medias. Most importantly, are can change our concept and perception, change the way we see the world and create a nutural place for consulting and excutions. andthus, the art can change the world.
i believe that art can change the world. Through are, people can understand concepts easily. Consequently, are is the best way to change the world peacefully. In my own opinion, art should make change the world by making this world more colorful and let people realize the joy of life.

  2. #ASSIGNMENT 1
JR's work has changed the perspection that most people used to see, and built the bridge between the elements and people.
I think art cannot change the world directly and physically, however, it can adjust our deep mind, or says, it wakes our sleeping reception up from inner minds that we are touchs by small things we haven't notice.
Personally, I don't think art should "try" to change the world, but should "try" to express the original intention. It is the most important thing that we need to put and show into the art we created, therefore we can influence other people.

  3. JR’s illegal photo exhibitions reveal that images can change our perception of human nature, race, and gender status and power. For example, the art project Face to Face in which he pasted photos of Palestinians and Israelis on the streets, he was able to demonstrate the equality of the two ethnic groups, and they are not monsters as the media describes them. Secondly, Woman Are Heroes shows the importance of women in every kind of society and the malicious and unjust treatment women have to endure in times of war. Yes, I believe that art can influence the way we perceive things, but perhaps not make actual changes. Art is something that people can view and feel, however not something that you can use practically, so our minds are affected instead of the environment, thus we may think more comprehensively and make better judgments. I think art should try to make changes in the world because art can influence people without the use of coercion of laws through its creativity.

  4. JR's art reflects what he cares about. He displays his art in large scales, informing the world about his beliefs. The photos' lack of colors, huge faces of people and their vivid expressions, create an emotional impact on people who look at them. When one looks at the pictures, one began to form questions. Thoughts and feelings are evoked by JR's art. It has an effect on how people see things.

I believe art can make actual changes in the world. Art comes in many forms, and it challenges our perception. Look at propaganda, and how it has influenced generations of people during war times. A photo of how terrible war is can make people call out for peace. Sometimes the change doesn't have to be big. Little by little, art can slowly make a difference.

I think art should try to change the world. Art is a beautiful way to express one's opinions. It is more creative and (sometimes) more appealing than essays or other forms of media. Art is also very expressive. People can get a lot from art. The artists, while expressing themselves, can alter another person's thought, or even a group of people. In fact, I believe everyone should try to change the world.

  5. JR's art can definitely change a lot of people's perspective about art because his art is placed in public areas that people can easily notice. By choosing large scale canvas or surface for his art work, JR successfully deliver the intensity and beauty of human faces while also express his idea to the public.

I think art can change the world in many ways. For example, the posters, media, television shows people see everyday are all arts that effect every single individual every day. Also, art is the best way to deliver messages because regardless what people's age or gender are, they can always see art.

I think art should try to change the world because it's the best understandable matter that goes around people's lives all the time. For example, people are easily attracted to beauty images rather than just words so that when they see art, they would automatically pay attention to it. Even though not all people notice the impact of art, they are deeply influenced by it.

  6. JR shows people what they usually don't see in a way of art. Art can easily catches more people's attention than written documents or by verbally. When the arts catch people's attention, they would have an impact on them. Although, sometimes, people may just walk away because they don't think they are important, but through many different ways to show them, people will have to know and understand them. Maybe the arts can't change the world just in a day or two, but with a little people understanding the situation, the power adds up. Also, if you families, relatives, friends, the people around you or even your religion believes in the way JR does, your thinking will be easily affected. Arts changed the world by changing the people first.

  7. JR's art changes the world because he takes photographs of things we may not have noticed in our daily life. He posts them up to let us notice and pay attention to what is going on outside our life.
Art can definitely make changes in this world. It may not be directly able to change the world. But like JR said, it can create energy and change the perception. Art are visual images that can reflect situations or events by capturing the viewers gaze with aesthetic representation. In my opinion, there can be two kinds of art, one that can change the world with its meaning and one purely for artistic beauty.

  8. JR uses his art to express art in a different way than other artists. The way he presents his art makes other people think and become aware of their environment and events happening around the world. It allows the voices ignored by most people to be heard.
I do think art can change the world because art allow people from different places with different cultural background to have a connection. Art helps people relate and express themselves other than using words. A lot of times when an issue is informed by a typed report is a lot less useful and often ignored than if the information were to be presented in a fun and artistic way. For example, through creative TV advertisements, billboards, or any public displays.
Art should try to make a difference in the world because it makes the world more creative and fun. Art connects a different side of people and art expresses our true selves and isn't judged by people or placed into different levels that's suppose to 'represent who we are'.

  9. JR uses images of things that we see daily but ignore or fail to notice. By taking these photos, enlarging them, and posting them on walls and ceilings he makes us see these things clearly. People who see it will finally begin to notice these little aspects of life around them. They would care more. This may not change the world completely but it will make a large impact, bit by bit. I believe that art can make changing in the world and therefore should try to make changes. Art is more than just something that looks pretty, it is a powerful tool of communication. Through art we can communicate certain things that verbal communication can't. Art is supposed to have a meaning to it. So why don't we try to make a change with art?

  10. Yes, artworks can change the world, at least some peopls's minds.
JR's artworks focused on things that most people didn't pay attention to or ignore. He changed people by placing his artworks at places where people can easily see them. People used to ignore things they can see daily. However, JR placed his artworks everywhere so that people can see them. When people realized that there's an artwork on the wall, the stairways, or the buildings, they will think about them.

I think that artworks are just artworks. To me, art is something that we can enjoy. Of course, if a person wants to convey some messages, artworks are a good and easy way. Artworks can be something simple that just pop out of our minds or something meaningful for people to think about.

  11. Art is an easy, simple way for one to express their thoughts and feelings, JR is one of these innovative artists who fascinates our society with creativity and unique thoughts. The large photos which were posted on places we see but disregard everyday, can successfully draw back our attention, making us notice things we used to ignore, and therefore letting people understand that art does make a difference, art does change our world.

A simple glance is all you need to see and discover art, you don't need to sit down going over every single aspect and different forms of art, just pay attention to the things you appreciate in the society and nature, soon it will not be hard to let art influence you, and let art change you.

  12. According to Carl Jung's Stages of Life, people are prevented to be autonomous because of their refusal of accepting a new, unfamiliar condition that eventually causes a threat to their sense of self.

Apparently, this happens to those of us who got shocked by the work done by JR. What he has done is not only a piece of art work, but also a new discovery of the details from our daily routines. He uses art, especially enlarging certain pictures and graffitis, to change our perspective toward a simple, dull part of our lives. We can only realize how dare human beings could be when we see the enlarged picture, for example, of a person holding a gun and about to shoot.

Thanks to the existence of art, the beauties of life are mostly inherited from it. Art makes us feel content, like, the different genres of music we listen to everyday. In general, art is an important element that affects our mood significantly.

  14. JR used his art works to change people’s thoughts or perspectives. The images that he posted grab people’s attention by focused on people or things that we ignore in our daily life. Maybe art can’t make actual changes in the world but it can change people’s perspectives through media or posters. I think art should try to make changes in the world. Sometimes it is not allow have certain conversation, but through art, people can express their feelings and also communicate to each other through their works.

  15. hell yeah, art definitely could change the world. Pictures in some ways are more visually active than just words. In fact, art/pictures/visuals is something that can be easily seen and understood by everyone. Well, unless you're mentally retarded or you wouldn't be able to understand what it meant.
I find the part about the Pakistin pretty interesting, he talked about how when you have two people up there, you can't ddistinguish who is who. That's really true andd really innovating.
Why grow disgust and hatred to people when you guys basically look the same? we're all brothers mate.
U know wat, i'm going to submit a photo of myself right now to that project that he said his doing.

  16. JR used his photography technic to spread his ideas. Those pictures are post around the word on wall to communicate his massage with others. The projects that he made were exhibit in people’s surrounding, such as train or roof of houses. Those photos integrate people’s living as part of their life. Therefore they could get the message of the photographer's concept directly. Moreover, he posted his photos other than just one country, which successfully spread his idea to change around the world.
I think art can make actual change in the world. People sometimes get new informations and perspectives by serious documents or stress. If art could share the same concept by interact with the audience with visualization and physical, then people could get the information from different aspects, which is more interesting and interactive. Art can make actual change in the world by using variety of technic to spread concepts. Art should try to make changes in the world because it provides different aspects for people to see the world.

  17. Art can make changes to the world. It is the universal language that existed before words. Visuals are tools to convey messages. Art has always played a role in the changing and influences of the world; such as propaganda, commercials, culture etc. People see and get the message directly without as much lingual confusions. They make people act! When one reads a document the tells you about the issues going on in the world, people observes the fact, but did not take action. Visual medias help people witness the crisis, and motivates people more. It makes them realize that ,"I have to do something."
I believed that art should start to lead the change of the world more than it has already done in the past. Because it is powerful, and can covey more than any speech and leader can make. It increases the aspects of people to the world beyond them.

  18. The art is not only just a video, animation, painting on the museum, movie Theiler or the website. The art can change the world, whatever is the painting or the photograph, the artist use their own style to show the worlds. JR is the one of example of this. He use the photography and post on the walls, roof and the on the ground and post other on the train's wall to make the funny artwork.
I believe the art should start to change the world now the art is more powerful then the government in the country. The art is come from every different style of artist to show their work to the world.

  19. Florence

If his art can be understood, perhaps man will wage less wars, and be more tolerant of the ones he finds alien. However, I don't think his art can change the world, simply because people see only what they want to see. If they don't see anything, they ignore it. Yes, his art may deeply affect the people who are directly in contact it, but the majority of the world is too concerned with political and economic values to let his art make a significant dent in the world at present.

If art can't make changes in the world, it should at least provide the ideas and inspiration for others to do so.
