Andy Warhol
ReplyDeleteI choose Andy Warhol is because I am in love with his pop art. For me the most amazing art that he've created is the one with Marilyn Monroe. I love it. He uses screen paints and plays with colors. The other one I love is the Campell's Tomato Soup can. He uses he's daily object to create he's art. Campell's Tomato Soup can is the most famous piece of art work of his. Warhol likes to use screen paints to play with the light and dark also with the colors too.
Phil Pringle
ReplyDeleteHe is a pastor now instead of an artist. I like his painting that gives a beautiful view of the world. His color is really bright and makes me feel like the pressure is gone. I can't actually imagine that he is a color blinded person. He has a lot of subjects that he draw, the one I love the most is The Open Waters. Although he uses simple color to paint this painting, it looks really nice. Every painting, he uses one to three colors in the background, which seems like he is not a meticulous painter. But, I like the color that he come out with. The painting looks really nice in those colors.

ReplyDeleteGiuseppe Arcimboldo
ReplyDeleteHis work gave me a strong impression of how a face can be shown by combining fruits together. It seemed very creative that his artworks are an nice example of our collage project. He used fruits to make a man's face, and to me it takes place of portrait paintings. I like the way he used the shapes of fruits to picture the face of a man.
Martin Klimas
ReplyDeleteMartin Klimas is a high-speed photographer who takes photos of various things(paint, fabric, etc...) dropping, although, he does sometimes take borin portraits of eagles. I saw a couple of of his porcelain-figures-shattering photos on tumblr and i thought it was really amazing how he could make the dead figures alive by giving them a sense of motion. This one photo of a lady grabbing the edges of her gown was one of the most beautiful because the sides of her gown splattered up, creating a sense of dream-like feeling to the whole picture.
another cool photo was one with the dropping marbles. that photo is so sci-fi feeling, like the outer space is just within our grasp, like time pauses itself and we get to see the every detail of human body.
Matt Adnate
ReplyDeleteI've always been curious about street spray painting, though i don't know this guys very well, i was astonished when i saw his projects, and i can't wait to learn more.
Parker Gibson
ReplyDeleteHe is a modern fine artist whose art works have broad range, since the he has created some works that done by photography and computer, and some of the are collages, others were drawn by hand. The materials he chooses are quite different each time, depends on the types of work he is working on. One of his work pretty surprised me, because most of his works look really contemporary, but this one is different, it is a surrealism piece. He only used pencil in this one, but still creates a sense of mystery.
Burce Holwerdas
ReplyDeletewhen i am on google image and search for inspiration, Buce Holwerdas artwork is the one that catch my eyes. He used Acrylics to paint on different surface to perform his energetic pose and surreal portraits. Little detail of clowns, witches, and other human-beings are attached into his artwork. it is very impressing and i like it.
Keith Haring. His artwork is so beautiful and brings a sense of happiness in me. He is also sponsored by one of my favorite brand - Obey.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Monastra
ReplyDeleteHer work of art are mysterious and beautiful. Her photographs are influence by her feeling and connection to the land. Her work provides the mysterious beauty that attracts me and makes me wanted to know more about the place. She said "I draw from fairy tales, myths, the fragmentary space of dreams, and my personal experiences with the environment to discover and create mystery in the realm of the natural world". I really like her work of art and wants to learn more of her.
Michelle Andrade
ReplyDeleteShe uses both everyday conversation and internal monologue for isolated moments of particular resonance, also uses brightly colored and tightly patterned shapes to draw the viewer in, but a closer look reveals her personal anxieties and struggles.
Most important, she uses lined notebook paper and graph paper as the material basis for the drawings. Her drawings have narrative elements that drive curiosity in the viewer for the context of a particular piece, and the work also invites viewers' subjectivity to engage, driving the viewer inward to reflection.

ReplyDeleteHe art work contains the style of abstract, contemporary, and modern. I really like the color he uses; the lines and the shapes added Together creates a perfect balance. He often uses the technique of drip paint which is also a way that I really like for painting.
Meghan Huang
Yayoi Kusama
ReplyDeleteShe is a Japanese artist and writer. She has worked in a wide variety of media, including painting, collage, sculpture, performance art and environmental installations. I really LOVE the thematic interest that she uses in psychedelic colors, repetition and pattern. I bet no one in our class know her, I didn't know her until my mom found out that my drawings are kinda similar to her art works, so my mom bought me a book which is all about Yayoi Kusama.
Pedro Campos
ReplyDeletePedro Campos is a Spanish photorealism artist. He has been working on different art subjects, but the most successful on is his oil painting. The first time I saw his works, I thought they were photographs. However, I realized that it is oil paint. The details and neatness are the one I admire the most. His subjects are mostly daily objects, and I think the naive quality of the daily objects emphasized his works authenticity.
